I had the good fortune of growing up in Carmel, California, surrounded by natural beauty at an early age.

I studied art at the University of California, Davis and Berkeley, and graduated with a BA in Art
from Berkeley in 1970.

After graduation I returned to the Monterey Peninsula, acquired my teaching certificate,   and began teaching and painting.   My paintings from the 1970's are in private and corporate collections.

In the 1980's I became interested in graphic arts and created artwork for local businesses and national textbook publishers.

Wanting a change, my husband and I moved to an island off the coast of Washington in 1990.   There, on a whim, I volunteered in an art/play therapy program for young children.   This led me to a MA in counseling.

My work with children in this field reawakened in me the importance of art to heal, express oneself and
discover oneself.

I had always wanted to live in the desert, and so in 2003, we moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona,
where once again I am teaching and doing my artwork.

I am currently a member of Fountain Hills Art League, Scottsdale Artists League, Arizona Pastel Artists Association, and a juried member of Arizona Art Alliance.

My life is drawing a circle, "The circle meets where it begins".
